Our Pastor

IMG_2514Rev. Dr. Carlton Williams, D. Min., husband of First Lady Alicia, is originally from Washington, D.C. He is the proud father of Larry (Tiffany), Aaron (Sh’Ron), and Roxanne.   He has six grandchildren, Adonijah, Anaia, Tre, Aaron Jr., Antwyne, and Abree.

Dr. Williams’ formal education includes a Doctorate in Ministry from United Theological  Seminary, a Master’s of Divinity from Payne Theological Seminary and a Bachelor’s in Theology from International Apostolic University. He has extensive training in a variety of areas, including: community issues, cultural diversity, and family development.

As the Pastor of Mount Olive Baptist Church, Dr. Williams is committed to the service of our  Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and operates in ministry from the Servant Leader Model. His teachings have resulted in an increase in giving, and an increase in attendance at Bible Study and Sunday School. Outreach ministries are flourishing through work in the Food Pantry, Clothing and Feeding Ministries through which thousands have been helped and fed. Dr. Williams also established the Mount Olive Cyber Cafe and a Community Drop-In Center that has received national acclaim.

Dr. Williams serves in the capacity of Community Service Director at the Boonshoft School of Medicine at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio where he is an expert in HIV/AIDS statistics and community awareness.   Dr. Williams firmly believes in not only an out-reach ministry, but a reach-in ministry that will engage Christians in an in-depth study of God’s word.

As Pastor and Teacher, his objectives are to preach the uncompromising gospel of Jesus Christ, that the lost might be saved and the saved get better. Secondly, it is his desire to present to God a quality church that is willing to address the needs of the community, both physically and spiritually; a church that recognizes the need for fellowship and worship together each week; a church that accepts the Bible as its guide, the Pastor as its leader, and Jesus Christ as Lord over all.  His third objective as a Pastor/Teacher is to develop a fellowship of believers who will take pride in their church, in their Pastor and in themselves. Sinners cannot be won to CHRIST without Christians who are not ashamed to witness. Evangelism is the major work of the New Testament Church. Lastly, it is his aim to provide the spiritual counseling, guidance, and leadership laced with agape love and Holy Ghost direction to all God’s people alike.
